Self initiated

A self initiated piece where I wanted to explore the meaning of each letter in the alphabet and how I could represent it in book form.

The outcome of which was an autobiographical mind map of my life up until that point. It was printed on an Ordnance Survey map of Hastings, the town in which I grew up in.<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me1.jpg" border="0" width="620" height="465" width_o="620" height_o="465" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me1_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me2.jpg" border="0" width="620" height="465" width_o="620" height_o="465" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me2_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me3.jpg" border="0" width="620" height="465" width_o="620" height_o="465" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me3_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me4.jpg" border="0" width="620" height="465" width_o="620" height_o="465" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/1567989/b-z-of-me4_o.jpg" align="left" />

Cogapp

Cogapp asked me to work on the design of the new BP Portrait Award, Next Generation website organised by the National Portrait Gallery.

The sites functionality revolved around pulling in content from social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. For the design a bold yet simple style was designed to handle the constraints of the embedded media.

Cogapp asked me to help them produce design visuals for a travel application they were creating.

The app was to be produced for both iPhone and iPad and also desktop. I had to establish a brand identity for the app along with an interface design style and apply it to the required templates.

Digital creative music agency, The Unit, asked me to work on the web designs for upcoming signer / songwriter Jonathan Jeremiah.

The site was content rich with Facebook feeds, YouTube videos and Flickr streams. The challenge for design was to house all this content in a visually engaging way.

DK approached Cogapp to design
a series of apps for their range of Eyewitness Travel Guides.

I was lead designer of the project, exploring not only the art direction of the app but also the design of the functionality and interface. Since launch the app has been produced for several cities including London.

Cogapp and I worked together on the creation of an iPhone app for the London Science Museum.

It was for a new special exhibition the museum was launching based on Cosmos & Culture. The design was based on the simple branding supplied and the Apple GUI (Graphic User Interface) for iPhone.

Self initiated

Some more fun with typography.

The concept behind this piece is using an online random sentence tool I stumbled across. Some of the results are pure gold, like this one.

More will be released soon.<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/983721/three-little-wordsWork1.jpg" border="0" width="620" height="877" width_o="620" height_o="877" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/36978/983721/three-little-wordsWork1_o.jpg" align="left" />

iCrossing UK

iCrossings’ social media department required a cost effective but bespoke way of binding their documentation, which is delivered to every client.

Using two sheets of A4 I designed an iCrossing branded document that was silver foil blocked. The sheets were then used to bind all future documents in-house.

Worth Digital

Worth asked me to help with the
re-design of their website and the evolution of their digital brand.

The concept was simple enough; no content just 11 statements. The brief was met by creating an identity for each of these statements. These were then animated, allowing users to engage and play with them.

NotOnlyButAlso

Not Only But Also commissioned me to re-design their studio website.

They wanted the site to have a more emotive feel to it and so I created the idea of pulling in imagery from their Flickr stream to form background images. Then adding subtle typography to inform the user of the services NOBA provide.
